Thank you for choosing Brushstroke as your Web designers. We are proud of the work we do and believe that your Website will serve your needs for a very long time.

The Content Management System (CMS) we use is Joomla, an award-winning PHP and Javascript based content management system (CMS) which helps to add usability to your site with components which display video, slideshow galleries, Facebook, blogs, forums, and thousands of extensions (apps) for all your site needs.

We have put together tutorials to help you edit your site. Joomla is very simple to use but it is also a very robust CMS. Before Joomla was available to designers and developers, in order to create even a simple, limited,  content management administrator for a site was a very expensive and time consuming ordeal. It also involved a team of programmers, production manager, designer, etc. Joomla has made it possible to bring to you all of the usability and more, without the cost.

It is very important to keep your site up to date with fresh content. A stagnant site will cease to be indexed by the search engines after a while. It is also important to have a Web marketing plan in place for your site as soon as it goes live. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) requires that your site be populated with keywords, copy that is keyword rich, descriptions, and alt  text for your photos and graphics. SEO tools in Joomla make it easier to manage your Web marketing.

We are forever updating and fine tuning this client resource center. If you have any suggestions, or you find things that you need but aren’t included in this guide, please let us know.

Sincerely,
Betsy Arvelo-Buzbee

NOTE:  If your site is still running Joomla 2.5, please, it is time to update! Your site is vulnerable to new viruses attacking older sites and you are not meeting the SEO guidelines for Google and Bing for mobile friendliness. Joomla stopped supporting Joomla 2.5 in December of 2014, which means that, since then, there haven't been any patches for it. This means that your site has not been protected since then.

Please contact us for a site upgrade or redesign.
